Delirium Film Club: Lecture 'Nietzsche, Who Forever Returns' + Film Screenings

Dive into the world of Friedrich Nietzsche not through dry textbooks, but through a living dialogue between philosophy and auteur cinema. You will explore key ideas—from the Dionysian and Apollonian principles to the 'eternal return' and the Übermensch—within the context of interpretations by Heidegger and Deleuze, and discover why the brilliant thinker believed Italian cuisine and walks were the best medicine for the mind. The main highlight of the evening is rare films by the Brazilian maestro Júlio Bressane about Nietzsche’s final days in Turin and his life in Sils-Maria, which are not available online. This is the perfect opportunity to expand your knowledge, watch art-house films on the big screen in the cozy atmosphere of a photo studio, and discuss philosophy in the company of like-minded individuals. Come nourish your mind and soul—registration is not required, and participation is voluntary.
