Nikolai Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov: a musical storyteller

Dive into the magical world of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov — the composer who turned music into living fairy tales. At this lecture, you won't just hear the story of the genius's life; you'll understand how the sea voyages of a young officer gave birth to the most vivid orchestral pictures of Russian classical music — from the roaring sea in 'Sadko' to the flight of the bumblebee and the shimmer of the stars. Musicologist Nadezhda Shkadun will reveal the secrets of 'color hearing,' explain why, without Rimsky-Korsakov's edits, the world would never have known 'Boris Godunov' and 'Prince Igor,' and show the invisible threads connecting the great master to the history of Belarus. You'll hear excerpts from 'The Snow Maiden,' 'The Tale of Tsar Saltan,' and other masterpieces, forever changing your perception of opera. Come for inspiration, new knowledge, and pure aesthetic pleasure in the cozy atmosphere of the IT-Academy.
